Social Reproduction of Class and Gender Hierarchies in Pakistan

Dr. Hazir Ullahs book offers compelling insights into the reproduction of class and gender hierarchies through education in Pakistan. This book argues for equality of opportunity in education through uniform education for all classes and the use of school textbooks as active and generative sites for creating gender and class equality. Dr. Hazir Ullah is an Assistant Professor Sociology at International Islamic University Islamabad, Pakistan. He engages in research with strong social justice agenda that addresses social inequalities, particularly gender and social class inequalities in education. He has published over 20 research articles in national and international Journals.
